Recreation Soccer – U9 and Up
Players in our U9 and older divisions participate in the SYSL Inter-County League, where they compete in single-gender divisions based on age and competitive level. This league format offers a fun, structured experience while introducing players to a slightly more competitive environment.
Each Fall and Spring season runs for 7 to 8 weeks, with weekend games—half played at home in Roselle Park and half away in neighboring towns. At the end of each season:
-
U9 and U11 teams participate in a round-robin tournament.
-
U13 and older teams may qualify for playoff games, offering a chance to advance to consolation or championship matches.
Team Structure & Coaching
-
Teams are led by volunteer coaches and assistants, all of whom must complete a background check and a concussion safety course prior to the season.
-
Practices are held up to twice per week, depending on coach availability.
-
Games are played on weekends.
Uniforms & Registration
-
During registration, you’ll select your child’s uniform sizes (jersey, shorts, and socks). RPSC uninform is required to play at each game.
-
Uniforms may be reused for multiple seasons, and individual pieces can be replaced as needed.
Player Requirements
This is a great opportunity for players to continue growing in the sport, developing their skills, and building friendships—all in a supportive, community-based environment.
